# Billing and your subscription

> How you are charged, monthly or annual, adding and removing websites, and where to manage or cancel your subscription.

Billing on Engado is handled through Stripe. You manage everything from your
account in the app.

## Monthly or annual

You can pay monthly or annually. Annual is the cheaper way to pay for the same
thing. Either way, the per-website price you signed up at stays locked in for as
long as you are a member. See [Pricing and tiers](/docs/pricing-and-tiers/) for
how the price itself is set.

## Paying per website

Pricing is per website, so your bill reflects how many sites you run on Engado.
Adding a website adds it to your subscription at its own price. Each website keeps
the price it joined at.

## Managing your subscription

From your account settings in the app you can:

- update your payment method,
- switch between monthly and annual,
- add or remove a website,
- view invoices,
- cancel.

## Cancelling

You can cancel from your account at any time. The specifics (what happens to a
website when you cancel, and how refunds are handled) are set out in the
[Terms of Service](https://engado.com/terms). If something about your bill does
not look right, reply to any Engado email or contact us and we will sort it out.

## A note on the free founding tier

If you joined while the founding tier was free, you are not charged for that
website, and that free price is yours for life. Adding a further website later is
priced at whatever tier is current when you add it, and that one then locks in at
its own price.
