Most problems on Engado come down to a site that is not verified yet, a profile that is too thin, or a niche that is still filling out. Here is how to sort the common ones.
Verification keeps failing
The most common cause is a host or CDN that blocks a server-side fetch of your page, so the meta-tag check can never see your tag (you may see a “403 Forbidden” error). It is not something wrong on your end. Use the DNS or Google Tag Manager method instead, which do not rely on fetching your page.
Full detail and the other causes are in Verifying a website.
My site is not showing up to others
Check that it is verified. Until a site is verified it does not appear in Discover or search, and nobody can send it a connection request. If it is verified and still quiet, make sure your profile has a clear niche and preferences, since that is what others and the matching use to find you.
I am not getting good matches
- Fill in your profile properly, especially what you want from a connection. Vague in, vague out.
- Widen your search filters. Discover gives you the best fits, but search lets you look across the whole network by niche, country, language, and metrics.
- Give it time. A small or very specific niche has fewer fits today, and the network grows every week. New sites keep arriving.
See How matching works.
I have hit a daily limit
There is a cap on connection requests and messages per website per day, on purpose, so outreach stays personal. If you are hitting it, you are reaching out too widely. Aim at the sites that genuinely fit rather than messaging everyone. See Connection requests.
